Things to do this Spring Break!

Spring Break 2014 is upon us and whether your kids are out school for one week or two you will be looking for things to do! Don't let your kids tell you they are BORED...check out this list and keep them entertained! Free or paid, home or out, we have your Spring Break boredom solution right here!!

---Indigo Bookstores is offering FREE Spring Break activities all week long - from Dr. Seuss, to creating with Lego to make believe adventures! Check out the schedule in your area here.

---Fingers crossed the weather holds out, but if you can't head outside to play or ride bikes, try this list of fun indoor activities to keep the kids happy!
1. Pull out the board games - let everyone pick a favourite
2. Have a video game tournament - let everyone pick a game and surprise the winners with a treat or reward!
3. Movie marathon - pop the popcorn, grab some snacks, cuddle up on the couch and watch everyone's favourite movie!
4. Build a fort and camp out inside

5. Cook or bake something special - together!

Get UP CLOSE and personal with some sea life! Check out the Vancouver Aquarium's new exhibit "Up Close" - visit the Wet Lab, hit up the interactive animal clothes, possibly even get a chance to go behind the scenes!!

 

Are your kids passionate about animals? Visit the Greater Vancouver Zoo to see all the awesome wildlife on display - or enroll your child in the Spring Break Jr. Zoologist Camps going on the week of the 24th!

---Live in Abbotsford? Check out the SpringDaze events going on at Rec sites all over the city! From swimming to art to horseback riding to skating, from week long camps to an hour of fun, there is lots to do!

---Or are you in Chilliwack? Check out these awesome camps put on by the Chilliwack Cultural Centre and get your child creating!

Discover the science of travel at Science World at Telus World of Science this Spring Break! Running from March 15 to 30th is Speed, Sail & Soar - explore travel in all its forms!

---Head out to the Movies!! Local theaters adjust showtimes and play matinees all Spring Break long!
